Can you sleep well on a cheap mattress? Yes, if you look at what’s inside and not just the price. What separates an affordable mattress that lasts for years from one that sags in months is the core. At Matris, even our most affordable mattresses feature a high-density HR core and a genuine layer of memory foam.
Three things to look for
- Core: High-density HR. This is what helps the mattress retain its shape with use.
- Memory foam: 2 to 3 cm is enough to make a noticeable difference in how it adapts to you.
- Height: 16–19 cm for pull-out beds, bunk beds, or guest beds; 22 cm or more for everyday use.
Matris’ most affordable mattresses
Prices are shown for the 80x180 cm size, with the 135x190 cm price in brackets:
- Luxury Aloe Vera: from €94.95 (€139.95). 16 cm high, with 3 cm of Blue Gel memory foam and aloe vera fibres to help resist sweat, odours and dust mites.

If you prefer springs
The Hybrid Pure Gel is our most affordable pocket-sprung mattress, from €169.95: 30 cm high, with a layer of gel memory foam on top. The most affordable way to get a hybrid mattress.
For the cot
The 60x120 cm Sweet Dreams cot mattress costs €69.95. It is 10 cm high, medium-firm, and has a breathable 3D fabric on the underside.
135 or 150 cm wide?
This is the most common question about double beds. At 135 cm wide, each person has about 67 cm, just enough room to sleep without feeling cramped. At 150 cm, each person gets 75 cm, and the difference is especially noticeable if one of you moves around a lot. With the Luxury Aloe Vera, the difference between the two sizes is €30.
Which one to choose
For guests or a pull-out bed, the Luxury Aloe Vera is more than enough. For everyday use, choose the Luxury Grafeno Therapy: in 135x190 cm, it costs €40 more and gives you an extra 6 cm in height and graphene memory foam. All are medium-firm. View the sizes in Matris mattresses.
